6 Week Internship Day 1 (Introduction)

6th june 2019, the day started with my father’s voice (I love him so much) waking me up for the first day of my internship/training (without stipend).

After getting ready I took metro from Palam to Vaishali, Palam where I live and vaishali where my company is.

A little brief about the company. Established in 1927, Bhartiya Vehicles And Engineering Co. Ltd. located in Ghaziabad, Uttar Pradesh and is one of the leading sellers of listed products. Bhartiya Vehicles And Engineering Co. Ltd. is listed in Trade India’s list of verified sellers offering supreme quality of Oxygen Generation Plant, service provider, etc. But now-a-days they are well known for large vehicles service provider for Indian defense majorly Indian Air Force. Rest will be cleared slowly as my internship will come to end.

So I reached on 10 am and reported my mentor Mr. Didar Singh (Service Manager) and he said to see the workers how they work and left, without knowing what to do but just to see everyone working was not satisfactory for me. They don’t even bother if I’m present or not, so I decided to seek the work rather than just watching everyone.

And yes one thing I forgot to say, that day itself a CFT (Crash fire tender) came for servicing. CFT in simple language is a fire brigade used when any aircraft crashes.

I simply watched everyone and was trying to make friends so that I can learn something from them as I was just left to do anything. There everyone was dismantling the CFT, 4 from front (engine and other wirings) unbolting everything, 5 from back (pump, pipes etc.), 4 each from right and left (chassis and metal body). Time passed and now the time was for tea break (11:00 am), I tried to talk to people there but I was little hesitant. After tea break I finally asked someone that what is done here and then he explained everything that how CFTs are repaired here.

At 1:00 pm it’s the time for lunch and after having lunch I started exploring the workshop by my self (I’ll draw a layout of it and upload here soon). After the lunch a B.tech employee (his name is Nikhil) saw me and asked that if I’m a trainee here, and finally I made one friend. He introduced me with other B.tech employees and explained me that how the engine is dismantled here, cleaned and then reassembled, I got excited and asked if I can work with him, he was kind of shocked as no trainee here use to come regularly and get their hands dirty, he agreed and asked to bring some old clothes so that my other clothes don’t get dirty.

After spending more time there till 5:30 when working hour is over and travelled back to home. In short it was a great day.
